I'm Nathan, the founder of Cuff & Crease. I started the business in 2019 to make custom clothing that people would wear often and keep for years. I enjoy the craft of tailoring, but I also enjoy helping someone who has never had a suit fit quite right find a shape that works for them.
Our showroom in Denver's Golden Triangle is where we meet clients to design and fit bespoke suits, tuxedos, shirts, sport coats, and overcoats for men and women. Some clients come with a clear idea of what they want. Others know only that the clothes they have tried have never quite felt right. I enjoy working with both.
I tend toward a softer shoulder, balanced proportions, and trousers that move. I like a garment with character, but I also want it to earn its place in your wardrobe. That may mean a tuxedo for a wedding, a suit you can wear often, or a coat that makes winter dressing something to look forward to.
The process begins with a conversation in the showroom, often over an espresso or a cocktail. We look at cloth, talk about where you will wear the garment, and work through the choices together. For bespoke clothing, we develop an individual pattern and refine it over several fittings. You do not need to arrive knowing what lapel or fabric to choose. Helping you find the right answer is part of our work.
What I hope you take away is more than a finished garment. I want you to understand why it fits the way it does, how to wear it, and why we chose each detail. Good tailoring should feel approachable, even when the work behind it is exacting.
That is also what I hope to share in this journal: a better understanding of clothing, from choosing fabric to knowing what to look for in a fitting. The more you understand those choices, the easier it becomes to find clothing you enjoy wearing.
